We get asked this a lot. We even get grumpy messages about it. So, let me explain…
Remember the story about the original granny trolley that Kerrie and I bought? It fell apart in weeks and is now (probably) rotting in a landfill somewhere. Our mission was to create the exact opposite of this. Something that lasts a lifetime.
- The strength of our trollies is unrivalled in Trolleyland. This is because our frames are made of steel, using high quality component materials. Steel is expensive and the price is only rising
- The frames are also welded and treated by hand. This takes a long time, which costs money but adds to the product’s quality, durability and longevity
- The frames are coloured in small batches using a process called powder coating. Doing it in small batches is more expensive but it allows us to offer more colours and switch things up regularly, which is good for our customers. We work with a family-run company just down the road in Bradford to do this. They’re very cool people
- Our extra strong wheels glide like a skateboard because they’re the only wheels that have bearings inside. They work properly
- Our designs are works of art on a trolley. And our artists and designers need recognising for their work with us. You wouldn’t work for free, would you?
We do things properly and that costs money. We appreciate it’s not for everyone, but we’re doing our best to do the right thing.
